Custom development

When no off-the-shelf tool solves the problem — we build the one that does.

We build plugins, web apps and AI integrations that solve specific problems — not bloated platforms you only ever use a tenth of. What we build for you is yours, and what we build for ourselves we use every day.

Why bespoke

Off-the-shelf gets you part of the way — rarely all of it

Most plugins and platforms are built for the average, not for you. You bend your workflow around the tool, pay for modules you never touch, and live with the one thing that never quite fits. Custom development flips that: the code is shaped around the problem, not the other way round — and you're not stuck on someone else's roadmap.

What we build

Five ways we solve problems in code

01
WordPress plugins

The functionality your WordPress is missing — built clean, with no jQuery, no external dependencies and nothing that slows the site down. Our own Schema Identity is exactly that kind of plugin, built to fill a gap nobody else covered.

02
Web apps & tools

Standalone applications when the problem is bigger than a website — client portals, dashboards and tools with their own login, database and logic. Built in whatever framework fits, not forced into WordPress.

03
AI integrations

AI built in where it genuinely helps — chatbots that know your material, smart search that understands what people actually mean, and automations that handle the repetitive work. Not AI for its own sake, but where it saves time or money.

04
Integrations & APIs

Get your systems talking to each other — booking, payment, CRM and business systems connected so data flows instead of being retyped by hand. Built against real APIs, with error handling that holds up when something wobbles.

05
Internal tools & automation

That manual thing you do every week that should run itself — reports, monitoring, mailouts, checks. We build the tool that does it for you. Our own monitoring app, PageScouter, started exactly that way.

We don't just build for clients — we build for ourselves

The best proof that we can build is what we've already built and use every day. These are the tools we've taken all the way from idea to production — several of them run this very website right now.

How we build

AI-assisted pace, human control

We build with modern AI-assisted tooling, and that's an advantage for you: a small operation delivers more for the money, and faster than traditional development allows. But the AI decides nothing and ships nothing on its own — it speeds up the work, we provide the judgement.

01

Faster to a result

What used to take weeks of routine code now takes days. You pay for the solution, not for hours of grind — and get something to test early instead of late.

02

Reviewed and hardened

Every change runs through several automated review passes — for bugs and security — with the fixes built in before it goes live. Nothing ships blind: layered checks, just faster to get there.

03

Built to last

Clean code with no needless dependencies, documented so it can be maintained — by us or by someone else. The pace never comes at the cost of stability.

How it works

From idea to something that works

01

We pin down the problem

A short call about what actually needs solving — not which technology, but which outcome. Often the real problem turns out to be a different one than you first describe.

02

Scope & quote

We define a clear scope and give a fixed quote before anything is built. You know what you get and what it costs — no open-ended invoices.

03

Build & review

We build and show early, so you can test and steer while it's still easy to change. Everything runs through automated review before it goes live.

04

Run & evolve

We don't hand over a black box. You own the code, and we stay on for maintenance and further development if you want — or hand everything over if you'd rather run it yourself.

FAQ

Questions about custom development

What can you actually build?

WordPress plugins, web apps, AI integrations like chatbots and smart search, connections to external systems and APIs, and internal tools that automate the manual work. The rule of thumb: if the problem is specific enough that no off-the-shelf tool solves it properly, we build the thing that does.

Do you build in WordPress or something else?

We pick the tool to fit the job. A lot lives naturally in WordPress as a plugin, but when a problem needs something standalone we build in clean code or a framework that actually fits. Schema Identity is a WordPress plugin; the licensing and monitoring tools we have built sit in their own applications. You never end up locked into a platform that does not fit the problem.

Do I own the code we build?

Yes. What we build for you is yours — the code, the accounts and the data. Where it makes sense we are happy to release parts as open source, but that is always your call. Nothing is locked to us, and you are never dependent on us to keep running or extending it.

You build with AI — is the code any good?

AI-assisted tooling makes us faster and lets a small operation deliver more for the money. But it does not write the code on its own or ship anything by itself. Every change runs through several automated review passes — for bugs, hardening and security — with the fixes built in before it goes live. Layered checks, not blind speed.

How does pricing work?

Custom development is quoted per project — there is no shelf price for something that does not exist yet. We start with a short call, scope what is actually needed and give a clear quote with a fixed scope before anything is built. You do not commit until you are comfortable with the plan and the price.

Got a problem no tool solves?

Describe it and we'll tell you straight whether it can be built, whether it's worth building, and what it would cost. An honest answer is free — even when the answer is sometimes that you don't need us.
